Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee said here today that cross-border terrorism must end for any meaningful dialogue between India and Pakistan, but clarified that it was not a pre-condition for holding talks.
Before proceeding to Prini in Manali for his six-day-long sojourn, Vajpayee was speaking to mediapersons at the sprawling helipad where he alighted from an IAF helicopter.

Asked whether it was a pre-condition for holding talks with Pakistan, Vajpayee said, 8216;8216;No. But terrorism must come to an end. Not only this but the terrorist camps running across the border should also be destroyed,8217;8217; he said.
