Eight convicted in fodder scam

A special court in Patna, trying the fodder scam case, today convicted eight people, for misappropriating Rs 4.08 lakh.

Those convicted include former district animal husbandry officer Erick Kerketta, the then touring veterinary officer Prabhat K Sinha, the then budget and accounts officer Braj Bhushan Prasad, the then treasury officer Dharamdeo Prasad, the then accountant Chandradeo Mahto and the then treasury assistant Bipin Bihar Ram. Private suppliers Tripurari Mohan Prasad and Sushil Kumar were also convicted. 8212;PTI
