RAMANATHAPURAM, January 14: The TN Government is to give a thrust to eco-tourism off the Gulf of Mannar. The Central and State Governments are to release Rs 20 lakh and Rs 7 lakh respectively for the project. The scheme, which includes operating glass-bottomed boats, will be centred atthe Kurusadai Island, off the Rameshwaram coast, according to State Tourism Minister, N Suresh Rajan. Other projects planned by the department include setting up tourism information centres of all States at the Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai.
