EC likely to announce assembly poll dates for 5 states

EC is likely to announce on Tuesday the schedule for assembly polls in MP, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Mizoram.

The Election Commission is likely to announce on Tuesday the schedule for assembly polls in five states.

The states are 8211; Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Mizoram.

It is not clear whether the schedule for polls in Jammu and Kashmir would also be announced by the three- member poll panel.

Union Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta had briefed the EC on Friday on availability of security forces for conducting elections in the poll-bound states.
