Money mattersShahbaz Khan is throwing tantrums these days. Recently he had a showdown with the producer-director of Betaal Pachisi, Sunil Agnihotri. Apparently, Agnihotri owes Khan a few lakhs, which after protracted wranglings, he paid by cheque. Khan was pretty excited, until he learnt that both cheques had bounced! ``This man has no ethics, no principles. He doesn't understand the meaning of commitment,'' fumes Khan. While still on Sunil Agnihotri, he is now back in action with a serial called Jaal' being produced by UTV. For a change it is not a fantasy or a take-off on any comic character, but rather a suspense thriller. It stars Salil Ankola, Kruttika Desai and Tinu Anand.Looking for..The Bollywood-wallahs and the Tellywood people, are always exchanging places. Here is another one to join the ranks. Jatti Verma who had earlier produced the Madhuri Dixit starrer Ansoo Bane Angaarey which turned out to be a disaster at the box office inspite of Dixit in a double role, is now making his debut on the small screen with a serial called Lakeer. It is being directed by Arun Frank (Andaz, Jaan). If the insiders are to be believed then the soap is based on Pepsi-Coke war and it stars Kiran Kumar in the main lead. The female lead seems to be the only problem as they are not able to find an actress though rumours whisper it could be Iravati Harshe.Wah, wah, Woh.Director duo Ankush-Glenn are in high spirits these days. Well, the reason is that their thriller Woh on Zee has recently completed 26 episodes. And another serial of theirs called Amar Chitra Kathaye is based on the famous comic strips premiered on DD-1 on Sunday August 9. It is being jointly produced by USL (United Studios Limited) and IBH (India Book House) the publishers of Amar Chitra Katha comics. And with over 400 editions of the comics, they have a long long way to go. ``We haven't tried to do it in a typical mythological way but in a comic book fashion. It's a very simple story, simply told,'' reveals Ankush.Money matters IISattee Shourie is making news again for all the wrong reasons. While her new serial Trishul has been approved for DD2, it has landed her in trouble. Director Arun Frank has walked out because the lady-producer has not paid him and his staff. And Shekhar Suman is creating a lot of problems by not giving her dates due to which she is not able to shoot further episodes. The reason is the lady owes him around rupees two lakh for the pilot episodes which he shot around a year ago. That's not all - even Kiran Kumar and Seema Kapoor have not been paid. But Shourie is unfazed - she has replaced Frank with a new director.Ten out of TenThe new look of Top Ten on Zee looks quite exciting. With Shakti Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla, it looks like producer-director Satish Kaushik's loss has became Ajit Pal's gain. Pankaj Kapur who used to anchor Top Ten earlier and was being paid one lakh for an episode found it difficult to adjust his dates with Satish Kaushik because of his film assignments. Because of date hassles, Kapoor felt that he was not able to concentrate on his own production, Mohandas B.A.LL.B, which he also directs and acts in. So he called it quits, but if insiders are to be believed that serial is all set to be pulled off air due to low TRP's! Guess Kapoor is soon to be na ghar ka, na ghat ka!
