NEW DELHI, May 2: Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, won the ninth Afzal memorial basketball tournament beating defending champions Woodstock Mussoorie 50-42 in the final at the Doon School in Dehra Dun, according to reports reaching here. The winners were trailing 23-24.

The teams played a neck and neck game but superior ball handling by DPS boys saw them through in the end.

Sanjit Singh Anand of DPS was declared the most valuable player of the tournament in which 13 schools including three foreign entries participated.Prizes were given away by film actor Saif Ali Khan.
