Mumbai, July 27: In what turned out to be exciting but contrasting semifinals, Don Bosco A8217; Matunga and St Stanislaus Bandra scored victories to move into the Division I Under-16 final of the Maharashtra State Schools Association MSSA-Colgate Inter-School footall tournament at the Azad Maidan here on Thursday.

Don Bosco emerged victors 5-4 via a shoot-out after being held to a goalless draw in regulation time by St Dominic Savio Andheri, while St Stanislaus defeated St Francis D8217;Assisi 2-0 in the other semifinal.

For Don Bosco, Mukadham Sanni found the target twice while Earl Lobo, Pritish Dasgupta and Kamalgupta Vig coverted a penalty each. McCaine Miranda made no mistake off the two spot kicks that he took for St Dominic Savio. Clayton Mendonca jeenu and Leon Cruz also striked neatly but their effort was not enough to pull the side through.

In the other semifinal, St Stanilaus were served superbly by strikers Yohann Pereira and Kyle Mascarenhas, who scored a goal each to put the issue beyond St Francis D8217;Assisi8217;s reach.
