.

It8217;s easy to forget the debonair Dev Anand is in his 808217;s, since he8217;s bristling with energy and is as passionate about movies as he was in his 20s. Romancing with Life, his autobiography, is a ll set to release this year. 8220; Acting in movies has never been just a 9-6 job for me.I have risked my earnings and put them back into the film industry,8221; he says. Dev saab was in the US when Saddam8217;s palaces were being bombed by the Americans. 8220;I suddenly put pen to paper and wrote a piece on my thoughts. And I realised that I could write something that was not a motion picture script! I also realised that someone like me had had an eventful life and that there were facets to it that the world might like to read about and would enjoy too,8221; he smiles. His optimism remains what it was and he still gets excited by new projects. He asserts his autobiography isn8217;t just about his growth from man to superstar but also his thoughts on life and philosophy.

In his long career, Dev Saab even tried his hand at rapping. He wrote a rap song for Mr Prime Minister after watching the Lok Sabha elections of 2004. What next? 8220;I8217;ve been so busy with this book that I put the shooting for Beauty Queen on hold,8221; says Dev Saab. However, since it8217;s set in Nepal where there8217;s intense political turmoil these days, shooting will not resume for a while. 8220;I8217;m also working on a Croatian project and a thriller called Chargesheet. 8220;Life is about fresh thoughts and ideas. I may do them, I may not,8221; he smiles endearingly.
