MUMBAI, Feb 20: Seasoned amateurs Digvijay Singh and Sheeraz Kalra helped V Thomas finish leaders in the open category halfway through the Seagram’s Blender’s Pride Corporate national Golf at the par-70 Bombay Presidency golf Club here.

The Chennai-based firm garnered 62 points thanks to Digvijay’s gross score of 71 which saw him accumulate 37 points alone.

In the handicap category, Sahara Airlines represented by I S Bindra and capt Sanan from Delhi were in the lead with 67 points. The first day performance left the result wide open tomorrow as a score of at least 70 points is expected to win the overall tournament.
