The last thing that you could associate with someone like Mahendra Singh Dhoni is keeping low-profile. Yet, in stark contrast to the slam-bang cricket that the stumper-batsman is known for, MSD spent over two days in the heart of the city, literally going into hibernation, eventually showing up this morning at the Eden Gardens.

Dhoni is in the city to turn up for his state side Jharkhand in the East Zone leg of the National Twenty20 Championship. They play their first match against Orissa.

Dhoni gave the media and fans a real slip over the last few days, quietly slipping into the city close to midnight last Friday, putting up at the Tolly Club.

Amidst the speculation of where exactly he8217;s been, with guesses ranging from Delhi to Jamshedpur, Dhoni even dared to venture out late on Sunday evening in a sleek, black Scorpio.

Later yesterday evening, he switched to the hotel where the rest of the Jharkhand players are put up.

After over two days of giving everyone a royal dodge, Dhoni turned up at the Eden Gardens in his trademark track suit, knocking around for two hours and obliging a melee of photographers. He however kept away from talking to the media.
