With the West Bengal Home Secretary joining the bilateral discussion at the secretary-level talks in Dhaka, the state administration will try to prove its worries about growing ISI-backed extremist activities in Bangladesh.

While Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya informed the media that state Home Secretary A.K. Deb will attend the bilateral discussion, he didn8217;t elaborate.

Bhattacharya, who is meeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on September 17, is expected to raise the state government8217;s threat perception in border districts due to ISI activities and the Dhaka regime8217;s non-cooperation.

Sources in the Chief Minister8217;s Office say the state government would also give inputs from the state intelligence report on infiltration and ISI-backed terrorist camps in Bangladesh.

Though the Chief Minister didn8217;t elaborate, a senior state government official said: 8216;8216;Besides the issues of infiltration and Indian extremists, like North Bengal Kamtapuris some of whom, state government believes are in Bangladesh, the issue of fake currency notes 8212; from Rs 100, Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 making inroads into Eastern India 8212; would also come up for discussion.8217;8217;
