Desh bhakti theme marks theatre workshop

SAS NAGAR, JULY 4: The month-long summer workshop on dance and painting organised by Thespians Theatre Group, which started on June 1 concluded here today at the Shri Krishan Mandir in Phase II.

Today, the children presented a colourful programme of dance and music. But keeping in view the upsurge of patriotism they sang the national anthem before beginning their programme. They danced on film songs and sang dhesh bhakti8217; songs. About 60 paintings made by children were also displayed. The theme of the paintings was Salute to the Kargil Martyrs8217;. Organiser Vijay.K.Giri said that about 22 children in the age group of 3 to 13 years participated in the workshop.

Besides, learning painting, the children also rehearsed two plays, Ina Mina Dika8217; and Hindustan Meri Jaan8217;. The former is being presently telecast on Jalandhar Doordarshan.
