Resident doctors at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi called off their two-day long strike after the administration accepted their demands regarding provision of adequate security at the premises.

“We have accepted the demands of the doctors and security will be enhanced in the hospital premises soon,” Safdarjung hospital spokesperson U K Das said.

The doctors were on strike since Thursday after the relatives of a patient misbehaved with one of their colleagues and demanded adequate security for the doctors and other medical staff at the hospital.

The office bearers of the Resident Doctors Association confirmed that they had called off their strike.
