Property tax returns to be filed by Jan 31
DELHI, January 11: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi MCD has extended the last date of filing property tax returns till January 31.
Moreover, the defaulter shall be precluded from objecting to any assessment made in respect of his land and building.Duggal informed that the returns have to be submitted on property tax return forms which are available at all the offices of property tax department.
Travel India Forum office-bearers
Travel India Forum, an association of travel editors, journalists, photographers and other mediapersons, has elected new office-bearers. Anurag Yadav was elected president, Bharat Bhushan vice-president, Ajay Gupta general secretary and Sanjay Arora as treasurer.
Indo-Iraqi Joint Youth Forum
The Indo-Iraqi Joint Youth Forum was organised on Saturday to consider the latest position about 8220;America8217;s aggressive attitude towards Iraq8221;. At the meeting, it was unanimously decided to start a signature campaign for lifting of the embargo against Iraq.
Rotary International parliament
Over 650 members of the Rotary Club will attend the four day Rotary International8217;s parliament starting in the Capital on Monday. This Council of Legislation is held once in three years and is being organised in India for the first time. A commemorative stamp will be issued by the government on the occasion.
Eicher conducts safety workshop for bus drivers
Eicher Motors Limited, amnufracturer of light commercial vehicles, including the Skyline school bus, organised a one-day training programme for school bus drivers in the Capital on Sunday. Coinciding with the Road Safety Week observed by the Delhi Traffic Police fron january 5-11, 1998, schools were invited to nominate their bus drivers to participate in the workshop. The workshop was inaugurated by Commissioner of Police Traffic Virk.
Book presented to Vice-President
quot;Poisoning in childrenquot;, a book on various aspects of poisoning in children, particularly in the Indian context, was presented to Vice-President Krishan Kant here on Sunday.
The book 8212; co-authored by Dr Utpal Kant Singh, a leading pediatrician from Patna with Dr F.C. Leyland and Dr Sanjay Suman of England and Dr Rajniti Prasad 8212; was released on Saturday by Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairperson Najma Heptullah in the presence of AICC general secretary Tariq Anwar.
