Revenue Dept officials to go on strike
All Group B, C and D officials of the Revenue department, including those from Customs and Central Excise, will observe a nation-wide three-day strike from November 10. The employees’ unions cited government indifference to their demands for better pay-scales and promotions as reasons to call for the three-day strike.
National HRD convention
The Society for Productive Human Resource Enhancement (SPHERE), a student body, is holding its National HRD Convention on November 7 at SCOPE complex, Lodhi road. The topic for the convention this year is Change and Transformation through Human Resource Development.
ABVP elections
Sanjay Swami has been elected president of the Delhi unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), while former DUSU vice-president, Narendra Tadav, has been elected general secretary. Both Swami and Tadav promised to work towards bringing down incidents of violence in the campus.
