NEW DELHI, May 19: Deepak Bhandari8217;s solo effort in the dying minutes gave Central Secretariat a stunning 2-1 win against favourites Oriental Bank in a Group C match of the DSA Institutional league at Ambedkar Stadium.

After a goalless first half, Central Secretariat went on the offensive and finally broke through in the 45th minute when mid-fielder Chandan Singh cashed in on a goalline melee. But Oriental hit back and Vivek Sharma equalised in the 51st minute. Earlier, despite a spirited show by the ageing Delhi Development Authority side, they lost out to a young Bank of India team in a Group A match.

BOI8217;s C. M Handsa found the target with a stinging right footer late in the first half to put his team ahead 1-0. Ekta, Reshmy in quarterfinalsTop seed Ekta Bhambri and second seed Reshmy R Nair moved into the quarterfinals of the Salora Summer Open Table Tennis Tournament at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium here on Tuesday.
