SALEM, Feb 19: The cost of tomatoes has decreased in Mecheri market, one of the largest wholesale markets in the State. According to Gopal, one of the wholesale merchants of Mecheri, a 15-17 kg basket is being sold at about Rs 20-23 and the condition is causing worry to atleast 20,000 farmers in these areas.
