November 25: The wicket-keepers of either side made the most of it scoring half centuries each, on the final day of the three-day West Indies A8217; against India Youth, which ended in a tame draw, at the Nehru Stadium here today.

India Youth8217;s wicket-keeper, Vijay Dahiya, finally ran out of partners at the other end, remaining unbeaten with 75 when their innings folded 35 minutes before tea at 363, 16 runs short of the visitor8217;s score of 399. Later, Courtney Browne, smashed the quickest 50 in the match, coming of just 36 balls.

Bishop was very pessimistic about the opening pair, and stated that some working out has to be done. He was happy that Courtney Browne was among the runs, but will be missing the services of spinner, Raul Lewis, who has been recalled to join the West Indies team, currently in South Africa.

Lewis recalled

Spinner Raul Lewis has been summoned to join the West Indies team in South Africa in the place of the injured Ram Narayan who has been ruled out for the forth coming Testseries starting next week.

8220;We were informed about it late last night 2 a.m and soon the officials here made arrangements to send off Raul Lewis early this morning,8221; said coach Roger Harper.

Raul Lewis is the second player to be called from this touring team after Lloyd Lamonte Rieffel had returned from Dhaka. 8220;We will miss his services, but Mahindra Naga Motoo who is replacing Raul is also a good spinner,8221; said Harper.

The hosts were injury prone yet again, as wicket-keeper Vijay Dahiya had to leave the field after being hit on the wrist off a shot by Keith Semple, who was trying to sweep, off the bowling of Rohan Gavaskar. He was replaced by Mithu Minhas, who made a poor show dropping Courtney Brown.
