Nine arrested for creating nuisance
The city police have arrested as many as nine persons for allegedly creating nuisance in public place while under the influence of liquor. They were held under Section 34-5-61 of the Police Act. The arrested persons include Sector 20 residents Ramesh Bhatia and Jagdish Kumar, Sector 17 shopkeepers Vikas, Bittu, Anil Kumar and Rajesh, Ram Darbar residents Pak Munda, Sanjeev Kumar and Balwan Singh.

Cyclist hit; driver absconding
A cyclist, Balbir Kumar, was allegedly hit by a car HR-51-D-0550 on the road separating sectors 17 and 22. The car driver fled, leaving the car on the crime scene. Balbir Kumar has been hospitalised. The police have registered a case.

Watch, gold chain stolen
A resident of sector 46, Inder Dev Avinash, has reported to the police that his wrist watch, a gold ring and chain have been stolen from his residence. The police have registered a case and are investigating into the matter.
