Harassment over dowry alleged
Sector 7 resident Manju Gautam has lodged a complaint with the police that her husband, Rajiv Sharma, father-in-law, Chaman Lal Sharma, mother-in-law, Usha Sharma, and other family members had been harassing and maltreating her for dowry. A case under 406 and 498-A has been registered, and the Crime Against Women Cell has been asked to investigate. No arrests have been made so far.

Liquor seized
The city police have arrested Teg Bahadur and Radhey Sham from Kajheri village while they were allegedly carrying 100 pouches of country wine in a three-wheeler. A case under the Excise Act has been registered.

Nine held
Nine persons have been arrested from various parts of the city during the past 24 hours. Four have been held under preventive action.
