Construction company employee shot

In another incident under the same police station, store supervisor of a construction company8212;Bhumi Construction8212;that has been sub-letting work of a road overbridge under construction by IRCON was shot dead by criminals late on Saturday night.

S Kumareshan, a resident of Tamil Nadu, was returning home along with his colleague when armed criminals intercepted them with 8220;an intention to rob8221;. While his colleague Manohar Singh managed to flee, Kumareshan was caught and shot at by the criminals.

Police, after they rushed to the spot, took a severely wounded supervisor to hospital where he was declared brought dead. The police have termed it as murder for robbery, but sources said it could be yet another case of extortion from construction companies.
