Saurashtra captain Cheteshwar Pujara slammmed 309 against Mumbai in the under-22 CK Nayadu Trophy, his record second successive triple ton which came just five days after his 386 against Maharashtra. Pujara8217;s achievement also impressed, among others, chairman of the national selection committee Krishnamachari Srikkanth.

World T20 in 2010

Mohali: The ICC has decided to have the third T20 World Championship in 2010 at the expense of the Champions Trophy. The T20 Cup will be played in the West Indies, according to the ICC Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat. 8220;The ICC had a choice between holding Champions Trophy or a T20 event, so in the end the T20 seemed to be a better bet,8221; Lorgat said. He also added that the ICC was yet to hear from the BCCI over the Indian Cricket League8217;s status. Lorgat said that ICC will wait for an official report from the BCCI before considering an application from the ICL to become an official competition.

Hasan scalps six

Narrow win for Lions

Ahmedabad: Chandigarh Lions beat Chennai Superstars by eight runs in their ICL T20 clash here on Saturday. Batting first Lions scored 163 in 20 overs while the Superstars were restricted to 155 as Daryll Tuffey and Andrew Hall shared six wickets between them giving away only 36 runs off eight overs.
