Accusing the Congress of being soft on terror, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi said today that the party has been performing 8220;mujra8221; before the terrorists even as the attacks continue.

8220;In order to confront terrorists, you need a government that has the courage to take them on,8221; said Modi, alleging that the Congress8217;s 8220;vote-bank politics8221; was responsible for the recent attacks. 8220;It revoked POTA soon after coming to power, much to the disappointment of our countrymen and delight of Pakistan,8221; he said.

8220;Eint ka jawab pathar sey dena hoga. Terrorism can be uprooted provided the government has the will and courage to do so,8221; he added.

Addressing an election rally at Bishnah, about 20 km from here, Modi compared the Congress to a 8220;125-year-old woman8221; who has become a burden on the country. 8220;This old woman cannot change the fate of the youth, nor can it better the destiny of nation,8221; he said. Asking the people to give the BJP one chance of goverance in J038;K, Modi said: 8220;We assure you that we will change your fate as also the destiny of this troubled state,8221; adding the solution to the Kashmir problem lies in the empowerment of Jammu.
