A day after NCP supremo Sharad Pawar said his party was ready for an alliance with anyone, including the Shiv Sena, Congress today bluntly told him that “riding two horses is bad for political health”.“There is a definite demarcation of Indian politics between secular and non-secular forces. If anybody claims and belongs to the former, he cannot flirt with the latter,” party spokesman Abhishek Singhvi said here. “Riding two horses is not only bad for political health but also very confusing to the electorate,” he added.Singhvi’s remarks came after he was asked to comment on Pawar’s statement in Baramati on Saturday that his party was open to an alliance with anyone including Shiv Sena in Maharashtra. Pawar had said ties with Congress would continue where the seat-sharing arrangement between the two was acceptable.
