CALCUTTA, FEBRUARY 12: A mid-air collision was averted over the Indo-Bangladesh border when two passenger aircraft of the Aeroflot and UAE Airlines came close to each other on the same corridor on Friday.

Air Traffic Control sources at the N S C Bose international airport here told PTI one Dhaka-bound Aeroflot flight and a UAE flight from Dhaka were flying almost on the same corridor at about 1000 hours yesterday. None of the flights were headed for Calcutta, they said.
