NEW DELHI, April 29: The law of averages caught up with Chand Khanna who were having a successful run so far in local tournament with the defeat against Collage Group in the quarter-final of Hariram Aggarwal memorial day/night match at MCD ground last night.

Chand Khanna failed to chase a moderate target of 225 and were dismissed for 153. After Manu Kumar, bowling on the trot, captured two wicekts to set the alarm bells, Sanjay Gill accounted for Suhail Rauf, Tarachand and Sachin Khurana in one over. Thereafter, Chand Khanna never recovered as wickets tumbled under pressure. Amandeep tried to retrieve the situation with some big hittings later but he too perished soon.

Satender Yadav was named the man of the match.

Pal Singh Cricket: Centuries by Naschal Gaur and Gopal helped Bright score an emphatic 133-run win over Telefunken in the Pal Singh memorial tournament at Khalsa College. Bright made 253 for six and then dismissed Telefunken for 120. Sanjay Sahni 5 for 40 and Ajay Kumar 4 for 16 were the main wicket-takers.

Rajiv Gandhi tourney
The eighth Rajiv Gandhi Memorial tennis ball cricket tournament day/night will be organised from May 8 at Bharat Sewak ground Sarojini Nagar.
