The Centre For Monitoring Indian Economy, an independent economic research organisation, has revised its estimate for India8217;s real gross domestic product GDP growth for fiscal 2003-04 to 9 per cent from 8.2 per cent earlier. The revision in GDP growth estimates follows the second advance estimates of the Union ministry of agriculture, which reflects a much steeper fall in agriculture production during the base year 2002-03 leading to a corresponding higher agriculture production estimate for the year 2003-04, CMIE said .
