Class VIII result today

CHANDIGARH, April 9: The result of middle class board exams conducted by UT Education Department will be declared tomorrow.Of a total of 11,859 who appeared in the exams held in February, 3,475 pupils have failed. The overall pass percentage is 71.2. The pass percentage of model schools is 88.57 as compared to 62.84 in ordinary schools.

The result of model schools has gone down this year. On the other hand, the ordinary schools including the government and some private schools have shown10 per cent improvement as compared to last year, revealed official sources.

The result will be available in respective schools after 10 a.m. The private candidates can obtain their result from their respective examination centres. The gazette will be available at Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 27.

While model schools have 1,768 first divisions, there are 1,102 first divisions in ordinary schools.Ramnik Kaur of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 19 has bagged first position, Rishi Kaushal of Moti Ram Arya School, Sector 27 has secured 616 and has stood first.
