Two papers of the Civil Services Main Examination scheduled for October 31 have been postponed. The subjects scheduled for the day were Public Administration/Political Science and International Relations.
The UPSC announced the postponement 8220;due to unforeseen eventualities beyond the control of the Commission8221; and 8220;in spite of its best efforts8221;. Official sources, however, said the move was prompted by the Trinamool Congress call to bring West Bengal to a standstill on October 31. A fresh date for these two optional papers will be announced later, the UPSC said.
