Citizens146; rally for change

To initiate a citizens for change campaign to channelise the current awakening and sense of responsibility being shared across the city, various citizen groups will get together for a rally for change at Express Garden on Saturday at 5 pm.

8220;The citizen groups feel that change can be brought about at the individual level as well as at the community level,8221; Satish Khot of National Society of Clean Cities said.

The campaign will stress that as a community, responsible citizens should be active in civic issues through their local mohalla committees.

Apart from making mohalla committees as Engines of Change, stress is also being laid on voter registration and exercising voting rights as well as the power of RTI, he said.
