The opening day of the Chivas Fashion Tour 2008 at the Terrace Gardens of ITC Grand Maratha, Parel, on Friday was an evening filled with style, oomph, fun and frivolity. Rohit Bal kick-started the tour by showing a line infused with various texture and fabric treatments, with handcrafted gota in gold, metallic and copper. The presence of some glittering faces on the front row added some more vigour into the proceedings. Guests present were Arti Surendranath, Chhaya Momaya, Esther and Raju Daswani and Arjun Rampal, who looked hot as a firecracker. Karan Johar walked the ramp in style and blew kisses to his friends in the crowd who applauded him. But the Chivas after-party at Dragonfly, South Mumbai8217;s newest hotspot, was where the young and the hip let their hair loose. The party was attended by all the other designers who will be showing in Mumbai. Raghuvendra Rathore and the gorgeous Mandira Wirk, were seen in each others company throughout the evening. Rocky S and Narendra Kumar shook a leg while models Nina Manuel, Pia Trivedi and Shamita Singha partied through the night.
Showstopper Most definitely Bal who kept the crowd entertained with his dance moves.

MANYATA Dutt, Amisha Patel and Neha Uberoi were quite the object of admiration at the premiere of Kidnap. More than the film, actually. Missus Dutt came to check out husband Sanjay Dutt8217;s latest offering. Dressed in a casual off-shoulder top and a pair of snug jeans, she looked a far-cry from her usual Mughal-E-Azam style. No wonder then that Amisha and Neha, the more fashionable ones of the three, were amenable to being in the same frame with her. Suneil Shetty and Sanjay Gadhvi were also present. So was Sophie Chaudhary In fact, it8217;ll make news if she misses an event.
Showstopper Manyata has taken the first important step towards being chic. And guess what, we liked it.
