Car stolen; case registered
A resident of Sector 42, Sunil Kumar has reported that his white Maruti car (CH-01-F-0471) has been stolen from his residence. A case for theft has been registered and the police are investigating the case.

Complaint against driver lodged
A complaint has been lodged by Baj Rang Sharma, manager of a transport company in Industrial Area, Phase II, against Sat Nam Singh, driver of a truck (HR-46-3719) alleging that he has neither delivered a consignment of 193 bundles of paper to Mumbai, nor has he returned. The truck had left for Mumbai on May 22. The police have registered a case under Section 407 for criminal breach of trust and are looking into the matter. No arrest has been made so far.

Computer, printer, fax machine stolen
Dinesh Midha, a resident of Sector 20 has reported the theft of a computer, a printer, a fax machine, a pager, a sound system, floppies, office papers and some important documents from his house on June 10. A case under Section 380 for theft has been registered, while investigations into the matter are going on.

Two held in case of theft
The Panchkula police today arrested two persons in a case of theft. Mukesh, a resident of Saharnpur and Rajesh of Indira Colony were arrested on a complaint registered by Hazara Singh of Chandigarh. A battery and a camera worth Rs 5,500 were also recovered from the two. These items were stolen from a shop in Rajiv Colony on June 10, informed Superintendent of Police, Alok Mittal. Two pickpockets were also arrested by the CIA here today. The two arrested, Ramu and Vipin Kumar are residents of Model Town, Manimajra.

Man hurt in scuffle
A Sector 37 resident, Harish Kumar, has reported that he received injuries after one Ashok Kumar of Sector 24 Rehri market picked up a quarrel with him on June 6, following which he remained admitted to General Hospital, Sector 16. The police have registered a case under Section 325 for voluntarily causing grievous hurt. Further investigations into the matter are going on. No arrest has been made so far.
