Examiner threatened
Baljinder Singh alias Sangha, a resident of district Moga, reportedly forced his way into an examination centre in the Arts Block, Panjab University, and threatened the examiner, Harjinder Singh, this morning. The police were called and Sangha nabbed, sources said. A case of trespass and criminal intimidation has been registered against him. Singh was also wanted by the police in connection with the alleged stripping and beating of Sudhir Kamboj, a student leader at the Student Centre in November last year.

Woman consumes poison
Aruna Kumari 18, a resident of village Mohali in district Roopnagar, reportedly consumed poison at her home this afternoon. She was admitted to the PGI.

Man succumbs to injuries
Shiv Narain, a resident of Sector 23, who was admitted to the PGI after he was reportedly run over by an unidentified vehicle on the Madhya Marg in Sector 8, on Saturday night, succumbed to his injuries, today.

One held, cycle recovered
The city police, last night, arrested Ram Avtar, a resident of Nehru Colony and claim to have recovered a stolen cycle from his possession.

Falls from roof, hurt
Ajay Kumar, a resident of village Burail was injured and admitted to the PGI after he reportedly slipped and fell off the roof of his single storeyed house, this evening, police said.
