There was much teamwork at the Bangalore Royal Challengers net session. The assorted group of players interacted and drew up strategies and helped each other iron out flaws.
There was some hard cricket too. Zaheer Khan looked in his elements at the nets, while Jacques Kallis hit some lusty blows. In the last game against Mumbai Indians, the South African chipped in with the bat, but he hasn8217;t had a good run with the ball as yet in the tournament. 8220;He is in the team as an all-rounder. He is an experienced player. I am sure he will come good sooner than later,8221; said skipper Rahul Dravid.
Misbah-ul-Haq, who joined the team yesterday, also batted with ease at the nets, and sent a few into the stands. His presence will give Dravid an added option, but with only four foreign players allowed in the playing eleven, it may be difficult to fit him in for tomorrow8217;s game. 8220;His availability is a big boost for us. But how we adjust him in the eleven remains to be seen,8221; said Dravid.
A few members of the Rajasthan Royals headed for the stadium after reaching here from Hyderabad, where they played a match yesterday, while most of them, including skipper-cum-coach Shane Warne, preferred to relax.
The Royals have already dealt out two upsets. 8220;We were not given any chance by anyone at the beginning. But we have already shown what we are capable of. Any team that has Shane Warne will always be competitive,8221; said director coaching Darren Berry. And Warne has already shown his genius. If in one first match he delivered with his bowling, in the other with his batting. His leadership has also come to the fore with the way he has brought the young side together.
