NEW DELHI, June 19: The condition of veteran journalist and Prasar Bharati chairman Nikhil Chakravartty, 84, who underwent brain surgery last month has deteriorated with paralysis setting in on one side of his body.
According to family sources, Chakravartty did not gain consciousness after the operation in mid-May. It is learnt that Chakravartty has been suffering from brain tumour for several years. Chakravartty is in a private institute for mental and neuro-sciences in South Delhi.
