
CHANDIGARH, Sept 5: The Cycling Federation of India will send an eight-member team for the Perlis Open International Cycling Championship to be held in Malasyia in November, according to federation general secretary J S Grewal.
He said that the CFI will hold an open selection trials at Patiala on October 9 and 10. The federation has also proposed a national coaching camp for senior and junior riders, both men and women, at Patiala from September 13 to November 7. The cyclists will be provided TA/DA for their journey undetaken to attend the camp provided they report one day before the camp.

Meanwhile, the CFI has recognised the Chandigarh Amateur Cycling Association, headed by Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa. In a letter to CAFA secretary Rakesh Mohindra, federation secretary general J S Grewal said 8220;I have to inform you that the new office bearers have been recognised as duly elected representatives of the CACA and Cycling Federation of India is taking steps to inform other units accordingly.8221;
