
CHANDIGARH, AUG 31: Central Board of Secondary Education today declared the results of All India Secondary and Senior School Certificate first chance compartment examinations covering the affiliated schools of the board from Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
Out of the total 6,026 candidates who took the exam, only 2825 could clear it, with the pass percentage at 46.8 per cent.
Out of 3,746 students who appeared for Class XII first chance compartment exam, 2,304 could clear it, the pass percentage being 61.5 per cent.
According to Pavnesh Kumar, the controller of examinations, the result cards and marks statement were dispatched to the schools by registered post today. He added that the local schools may depute a person to collect the cards and the statements personally from the regional office of the board in Sector 32. In case of private candidates, he said, the marks statements have been sent directly to the concerned candidate.
