CBI looks for money trail, top cops questioned
The CBI is looking for a possible money trail that could lead to some of the senior IPS officers, who are alleged to have played a major role in the separation of computer graphics designer Rizwanur Rehman and his wife Priyanka Todi.

The CBI is looking for a possible money trail that could lead to some of the senior IPS officers, who are alleged to have played a major role in the separation of computer graphics designer Rizwanur Rehman and his wife Priyanka Todi.
The CBI on Tuesday interrogated former DC headquarters Gyanwant Singh, former DC detective department Ajoy Kumar and two junior officers of the Anti-Rowdy Section 8212; Assistant Commissioner Sukanti Chakraborty and Sub-Inspector Krishnendu Das.
After intense grilling, the two DCs, who had allegedly threatened Rizwanur before his death, confessed that they had overstepped their limits, sources said.
Sources said the interrogation has strengthened the possibility of a money trail link to Priyanka8217;s businessman father Ashok Todi. 8220;We are gathering information regarding a big money transaction to which the police officers were a party,8221; a CBI official said.
8220;Besides, the role of the police, including the IPS officers, is questionable in various areas. The low-ranking officers said that Ashok Todi, Pradip Todi and Anil Saraogi were referred to them by senior officers,8221; he added.
