
Bharati Vidya Bhavan clinched the under-16 girls volleyball title after defeating Symbiosis Secondary School in straight sets in the final of the inter-school volleyball tournament conducted by the Zilla Parishad held at the Azam Campus Volleyball Courts on Monday.
Bharati Vidya Bhavan were in control for the entire match and made few mistakes in this final. They beat their opponents 25-15 and 25-11. Divija Kulkarni and Ojashree Paralkar performed well for BVB while Aditi Atre and Urvi Khasnis reduced the deficit for the losing team. In the semifinals that were played earlier in the day, Bharati Vidya Bhavan beat Vidya Valley Sus Road 25-11 and 25-5. Sonia Deshpande and Rashmi Kadam did well for the winners while Ankita Joshi and Kiran Saini reduced the margin for the losing team.
The second semifinal saw Symbiosis Secondary School beating Kataria School 25-23 and 25-12. Devyani Shetty and Sana Vaidya put up a good show for the winners while Priyanka Dhotre and Shraddha Sonawane played well for the losing team.
