Bus falls from bridge in Howrah, one killed

One woman was killed and eight were injured on Friday, when a minibus fell from Bankim Setu on some temporary structure used as stalls in the weedly market, Mangala Haat, police said.

One woman was killed and eight were injured on Friday, when a minibus fell from Bankim Setu on some temporary structure used as stalls in the weedly market, Mangala Haat, police said.

The toll could have been much higher if it was a Tuesday when traders assemble in the weekly market.

The injured were hospitalised. Local people alleged that the accident occurred due to rash driving.
