After fending off the bulldozers, Member of Parliament and actor Govinda has been served a fortnight’s notice by the civic authorities. He has been asked to submit the relevant documents regarding his 2,485-sq ft bungalow on the seafront at Madh Island.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), which has issued notices for demolition to around 30 bungalow owners at Madh and has also razed some, state that Govinda’s bulgalow too is illegal.
