Nokia8217;s Chennai factory is contiguous with about 10 sites of different sizes reserved for its suppliers, who are being encouraged to move there as well. Two of them8212;Perlos, a handset mechanics maker and Aspocomp, a high-end printed circuit maker8212;have already committed investments of Euro 123 and Euro 70 million each, in the area, being pegged as the Nokia Telecom Investment Park. 8216;8216;It doesn8217;t take long for a Park to fill up,8217;8217; said Robert Andersson of Nokia. The partners put together, the Nokia plant will employ some 10,000 people when fully operational, from about 1,100 today.
