Body found at Sukhna

CHANDIGARH, June 18: A body of a 30-year old man was found on the embarkment of the Sukhna lake early this morning. The deceased has been identified as Nathi Ram, a sweeper with the UT Health Department, who was posted at the lake.

Police sources say that the body was recovered from the thatched-roof shed near the lake tower. He had left home for work on Wednesday morningThough the exact cause of death is not yet available, police add that signs of vomit around the place indicate that the deceased had consumed some poisonous or toxic substance.

The body was sent for post mortem to the Sector 16 General Hospital, after which it was handed over to the family.
