Blueline kills one, injures another in Delhi

A 35-year-old contractor was killed while another person suffered serious injuries when a speeding Blueline bus hit their motorcycle in the national capital, police said.

A 35-year-old contractor was killed while another person suffered serious injuries when a speeding Blueline bus hit their motorcycle in the national capital, police said.

The incident took place in south-east Delhi8217;s Govindpuri yesterday.

Contractor Balaram and his friend were traveling in a motorcycle when the bus, plying between Dhaula Kuan and Badarpur border, hit them from behind, police said.

The duo were rushed to AIIMS where doctors declared Balaram brought dead.

Balaram8217;s friend, who suffered critical injuries in the accident, is recuperating in the hospital.

The driver of the bus who fled from the scene soon after the accident was arrested later.

A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against the driver.
