
DSPML MF assets double
MUMBAI: DSP Merill Lynch Mutual Fund has reported that its assets under management have doubled in the last five months to cross the Rs 1,000 crore landmark. The total corpus under the four schemes have grown from Rs 518.03 crore to Rs 1002 crore between March 31, 1999 and August 24, chairman of DSPML Asset Management, Hemendra Kothari said. quot;While the budget proposals gave a fillip to the mutual fund industry, our emphasis on global service standards and a strong marketing and distribution network has stood us in our efforts to spread the mutual fund culture,8221; he added.
Birla MF to treble distribution network
MUMBAI: BIRLA Mutual Fund, largest private sector mutual fund, has decided to treble its distribution network from 14 centres to 50 centres by the year end to provide increased customer service to its broadening investor base. It now has one centre in all the major states.
