
CRM from Oracle
Mumbai: Database vendor Oracle Corporation on Monday launched the first end-to-end Customer Relationship Management CRM application in India. The solution helps a company to effectively grow its business by maintaining profitable customer relationships by leveraging channels like the web and direct sales force.
Announcing the launch, T K Srinivasan, director sales, Oracle Software India Limited said the product was targeted at service-intensive market segments such as financial services, telecom, power and engineering. quot;We estimate that customer relationship management-related professional services marketplace worldwide will be worth US 7 billion by 2000,quot; added K S Suresh, divisional manager 8211; CRM Solutions. He said the CRM would help in customer-responsive enterprises with completely integrated, flexible and reliable solutions. Quoting a study, he said five per cent customer loyalty had been found to translate into 60 per cent to 70 per cent growth inbusiness.
Byke expansion
Mumbai: The Byke, has undertaken an ambitious expansion plan at its Matheran hotel project which entails an international style opulent glass house. The two storied glass house will be adjacent to the hotel8217;s existing 48 cottages which have been developed amidst seven acres of greenery and salubrious surroundings.
Global Housing
Mumbai: Global Housing Finance Corporation Limited GHFCL, one of the housing finance companies HFCs which charge interest on reducing balance method, has further reduced its interest rates on housing loans. The rate of interest on housing loans upto Rs 5 lakh has been reduced to 14.50 per annum and on loans above Rs 5 lakh but below 10 lakh has been reduced to 15.50 per annum. Loans from GHFC are found to be attractive because of the company8217;s policy of charging interest on loans on a reducing balance method which reduces the effective cost to the borrower as the outstanding loan balance reduces with everyinstallment.

Santro sales
Mumbai: Hundai Motor India8217;s deliveries of the Santro crossed 20,000 units within a span of six months, aggregating 20,241 units till date. Hyundai had closed the financial year 1998-99 by notching sales of 17,647 units. Santro has doubled its sales in March this year with 4290 units sold.
