Chequemail.com, a Mumbai-based Internet start-up, has announced it will share 30 per cent of its advertising revenues with its e-mail subscribers. The site is already live and users can register their names for the web-based e-mail service. However, e-mail services sending and receiving mail will start only from November 8. The company will also share 15 per cent of its advertising revenues with its subscribers through daily jackpots. quot;This is the first website in the world which will share advertising revenues with its subscribers,quot; the company said in a press release. HFCL net profit moves up 98 per centMUMBAI:

Himachal Futuristic Communications Ltd HFCL has recorded an all round growth for the second quarter ended September 1999. The net turnover has risen by 80 per cent to Rs 124.88 crore against Rs 69.33 crore and the net profit zoomed by 98 per cent to Rs 19.48 crore from Rs 9.85 crore. For the half year, HFCL8217;s net turnover placed higher at Rs 202.23crore Rs 139.91 crore and net profit at Rs 27.81 crore Rs 12.58 crore.

Hoechst drug for respiratory infection
Mumbai: Hoechst Marion Roussel is introducing in India the latest generation broad-spectrum quinolone, Levofloxacin brand name Trvanic to treat moderate to severe respiratory tract infections, particularly drug-resistant bacteria. Levofloxacin is a unique molecule because it needs to be administered just one a day. Tavanic is one the first quinolones to be recommended by the US FDA and the Infectious Disease Society of America.
