TVS Spectra launched
TVS Suzuki entered the two-wheeler geared scooter market with the launch of TVS Spectra 8211; a four-stroke, 150 cc, four gear scooter 8211; in Chandigarh. The scooter, which is the only one with a centrally mounted engine, is being manufactured at the new plant 8211; set up by TVS at Mysore with an investment of Rs 180 crore. The plant has the capacity of manufacturing 1.5 units per year. quot;Backed by an aggressive marketing and advertising strategy, we plan to grab six to eight per cent of the scooter market in the first yearquot;, said a company official. The scooter has been priced at Rs 36,009 in Chandigarh, Rs 35,646 in Punjab and Rs 35,877 in Haryana.
