For the second time in the last seven days, the Teachers and Scientists against Maldevelopment TASAM, an umbrella organisation of anti-CPM associations, took to the streets against the Bengal Engineering and Science University BESU authorities on Saturday at Metro Channel.

They were joined by the students from Presidency College and Jadavpur University. Most of the students were from Independents Consolidation IC, the anti-SFI Students Federation of India students union.

8220;We are trying to create a public opinion and make people aware about the mismanagement in the BESU, even as police are called in the university for every minor incident,8221; said Anup Bandopadhyay, president of TASAM.
