VADODARA, March 3: Students of the Bachelor of Business Administration BBA course, Faculty of Commerce, M S University kept away from their classes on Thursday to press the Commerce faculty authorities to look into their pending demands. While students have already begun their strike, some students are against classes being affected.

A second year student told Express Newsline that their demands could have been put forth by attending classes also. She added that as such only two of the four classes were being held regularly and with the strike even that could not be possible now. 8220;Though it is the teachers8217; responsibility to complete the syllabus, they can8217;t do anything if there aren8217;t adequate students,8221; she added.

Another second year student agreed that some problems would remain. 8220;The demand for better classrooms and even proper toilets will not yield any results,8221; she said.

However, another student Pranav Shroff said the students were not protesting against the appointment of any person as the co-ordinator but to press for their pending demands, which have been overlooked for long.

Pointing out that memoranda and representations failed to draw the attention of the authorities, he said this was for the first time that students had dared to launch an indefinite agitation in support of their demands.
